Summertime is here...the season for vacations, sun, pools and all kinds of outdoor fun. We know how easy it is to see the effects of summer on our skin. Is your skin dry or cracked, burned, oily? Here are 5 effective tips for healthy, glowing skin in the Summer.
As you enjoy extra vitamin D during this season remember that your biggest anti-ager is SPF! We love the sun but it is a better friend to us in small doses. Grab your favorite non-toxic physical sunscreen and enjoy the summer rays. Use frequently. Applying every 90 min will ensure your skin is protected as sunscreen will absorb and wash/wipe off. We are also fans of lovely oversized hats!
2. Stay Hydrated
Remember to stay hydrated during these warm months. Drink lots of water – half your body weight in ounces is a good rule of thumb. Also, as salt and chlorine will dry your skin, be sure to use a nourishing body oil or lotion to replenish those top layers of skin.
Still feeling a little crackly? Exfoliate your entire body on a weekly basis to remove dead skin cells to allow for better absorption of your products.
4. Wash Your Face

5. Relax and Recharge
It’s ALWAYS a good time to relax and recharge. Summer is a perfect season to put some things on hold and unwind. So find a good book, take a walk, lay by the pool, get a facial or massage and relieve some stress.
